The 4 Vallées is the biggest connected skiing area in Switzerland and the third biggest in Europe. The view over the moutain world is magnificent. However, people who like cross-country skiing or snowshoe trekking can find amazing cross-country trails.
In La Tzoumaz families and friends can find the longest sledging slope in Switzerland, where fun is guaranteed. Verbier is one of the best freeriding or off-pist skiing areas in Europe. But still offers something for all passionate skiers and beginners with 65km easy slopes, 31km moderately difficult and 80km hard slopes. Ambitious snowboardes can practice their jumps at the beginning of December in La Chaux, which is located at the bottom of the world-famous Bec des Rosses. Visitors here also have a beautiful viwe of the Grand Combin which has an altitude of 4314m.
Using the public transport system
With the local train from station Martigny (Grand St. Bernard Express) to Le Châble (about: 27min). fter the train ride you must take the gondola which is open every day from 08:00 am to 05:30 pm which takes you to Verbier ski station.
